Yesterday the WFFT rescued a 54 year old elephant named Alicia. She was wild-born but spent her life working in the logging and tourist trades. After a long day of travel she’s now at the rescue center, where she’s officially retired. My wife Yee went along to help with some of the ownership transfer paperwork and driving on the long trip. Here are some pics she took.

After the long trip, she steps into her new home. This picture belongs to the WFFT:

Her working days are over and she’ll now be part of the WFFT herd who can roam, eat and swim all day. What a lucky girl!
